New Delhi: Dashing India opener Abhishek Sharma has been rushed to a hispital with stomach infection, putting his availability for their T20 World Cup match against Nambia on Thursday in doubt.
The left hander has been admitted to a hospital in the Capital for the last two days.
“Abhishek has been admitted to a private hospital in Delhi due to stomach infection. Some tests are being done to ascertain the problem. It is still not clear whether he will be discharged today. But match against Namibia looks doubtful as of now,” a BCCI source told PTI.
Sharma was dismissed for a duck in India’s opening match win against USA in Mumbai on Saturday and didn’t field with Sanju Samson doing the duty for him.
