A very shocking case of family dispute has come to light in Bichiya police station of the city. Here, at the age of 90, after three marriages, the retired Patwari was looking for a fourth wife. Before he could marry, all three wives demanded division of his property.
During a dispute over this matter, the son of the third wife fatally attacked his own father.
At present, the father injured by his son’s attack has been admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital for treatment in a critical condition, where his condition is said to be very critical, while the attacking son has been arrested by the police.

Actually the matter is of Silpara under Bichiya police station area of Rewa city. During a dispute regarding distribution of property between the Verma family there, the son fatally attacked his own elderly father. Giving information regarding the incident, Bichiya police station in-charge Manisha Upadhyay said that 90-year-old retired Patwari Ram Ratan Verma, resident of Silpara, has three wives. The retired Patwari has kept all three wives in the same house but their doors and courtyards are separate.
During a dispute over distribution of property in the family of a retired Patwari, Mahendra Verma, son of his third wife, fatally attacked his father. During the dispute, the injured father refused to accept the accused as his son. Angered by this, the son attacked his father.
Preparing for fourth marriage at the age of 90
There is also discussion regarding the incident that after three marriages, the retired Patwari was now preparing for the fourth marriage at the age of 90, the news of which was already known to his three wives. Before he could marry for the fourth time, the families of all three wives demanded division of the property, and the dispute over this issue cost the life of the retired Patwari, who is now struggling between life and death.
At present, the treatment of seriously injured Patwari is still going on, whose condition is said to be critical at this time. The police have arrested the accused son and further action is being taken after registering a criminal case.
