Tamil Nadu Road Accident: A horrific road accident occurred when two buses filled with passengers collided head-on in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. In which 5 people died on the spot and 42 people including children were injured.

Five people died in a tragic road accident in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai district in the early hours of Monday. 42 other people including children have been injured in this incident. Police said that the accident occurred due to a head-on collision between a private bus and a government bus. The private bus had left for Marthandam from Chennai and was carrying many passengers. The accident was so terrible that the bodies were stuck to the seats of the bus.

The government bus was going from Madurai to Tiruchirappalli

According to Madurai Police, the accident took place on the four-lane highway at Vandinagar near Kottampatti. It is being told that the driver of the private bus lost control of the vehicle. After this, the bus crossed the divider and went in the wrong direction i.e. in the other lane and collided directly with the government bus coming from the front. The government bus was going from Madurai to Tiruchirappalli.

The front part of the bus was shattered

The collision was so strong that the front part of the private bus was badly damaged, while the government bus overturned. As soon as information about the accident was received, the Kottampatti police and rescue team immediately reached the spot. He started the rescue operation to rescue the passengers trapped in both the buses.

5 people died on the spot

Police said that in this accident, five people including four men and one woman died on the spot. According to the police statement, a total of 42 people injured in the accident have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Children are also included among the injured. At present, further investigation is being done in this matter.
