According to the Panchang, the Amavasya date of Ashadha month will start from 06:49 pm on Monday, July 13, which will continue till 03:13 pm on Tuesday, July 14. Since the sunrise of Amavasya Tithi will be on 14th July, the festival of Halharini Amavasya will be celebrated on this day. On this day, three auspicious yogas named Susthir, Vardhaman and Harshan will be formed.

Why is Halharini Amavasya special? (Significance of Halharini Amavasya)

The word plow has been used in this Amavasya which is used in farming. Actually, the farmer sows his crop only in the month of Ashadha. Plow is especially used during this period. How to worship the plough?

Perform Aarti. Along with the plough, other equipment used in farming and your bulls should also be worshiped on this day. After this, pray to God for a good harvest.
