Kim Soo Hyun’s legal team at L.K.B & Partners issued a statement confirming that the actor and his agency, Gold Medalist, have filed additional legal complaints. The legal team refuted all the false claims made during a press conference by Kim Se Ui earlier this year.

As per Koreaboo report, the team of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay star in a statement said, “As is already known, during a press conference held on May 7, 2025, Kim Se-Ui played a fabricated audio recording-allegedly using AI deep voice technology-claiming that Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Sae-Ron had been romantically involved since middle school and that the recording proved it. These are absurd and completely baseless claims.”

Reacting to the accusation by Kim Sae Ron’s family and the YouTuber, they stated, “Kim Se Ui and the late Kim Sae Ron’s family went beyond merely spreading false information based on a forged audio file, they even filed a criminal complaint against actor Kim Soo Hyun, accusing him of false charges and violations of the Child Welfare Act. This is a clear and serious case of false accusation.”

The statement also mentioned the decision of the actor and his agency to pursue legal action against those responsible, ensuring they face the law and take all necessary steps to safeguard Kim Soo Hyun’s reputation from further harm.

Kim Se Ui also in his press conference alleged that Kim Soo Hyun’s side offered huge amount of ₩4.00 billion KRW (about USD 2.91 million USD) in exchange for the file and assaulted the individual when the offer was allegedly rejected. He also accused the actor of violating the Child Welfare Act.

Following this, Kim Soo Hyun filed a lawsuit seeking ₩12.0 billion KRW (approximately USD 8.74 million) in damages, along with charges of defamation and violations under the Special Act on Sexual Crimes, according to Koreaboo report.

The controversy began when Kim Sae Ron died by suicide on February 16, 2025, and rumours that she and Kim Soo Hyun were in a relationship when she was still a minor emerged, stirring outrage among fans. Amid this, several issues and allegations popped up allegations like leaked private photos and claims of a continued secret relationship.
