BJP attacks Kejriwal’s Sunderkand lesson, calls him ‘political Hindu’. BJP Calls Arvind Kejriwal A Political Hindu Over Sundarkand Path

Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra called AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal a ‘political Hindu’. On Kejriwal’s participation in Sundarkand recital, Malhotra termed it as ‘gimmick’ and ‘farce’, which is being done as elections are nearing.

New Delhi [भारत]July 12 (ANI): Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Terming Kejriwal as a ‘political Hindu’, he termed Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Sundarkand Path’ as a ‘gimmick’ and ‘farce’. The comments come after Arvind Kejriwal, his wife Sunita Kejriwal and senior party leader Manish Sisodia attended the Sunderkand recital organized at the Japanese Park on Sunday.

Kejriwal ‘political Hindu’, Sundarkand lesson a farce: BJP

Speaking to ANI, the BJP leader accused Kejriwal of using religion for political gains as elections approach. Malhotra said, “Today, Mr Kejriwal has once again reminded Lord Ram. He is a ‘political Hindu’. His gimmick has started again. In January 2024, he had organized Sunderkand Path, which used to happen once a month on Tuesdays at various places throughout the year as the 2024 elections were round the corner. Now, he has once again resorted to this Sunderkand farce.”

There is also a siege regarding the old statement on Ram temple.

Malhotra also referred to Kejriwal’s previous statements regarding the construction of Ram Temple to highlight his alleged hypocrisy. The BJP leader said, “I would like to remind him that he himself had once said that his grandmother had forbidden him to go to the Ram temple because it was built by demolishing a mosque; as a result, he did not go. At that time, these were his thoughts about Lord Ram. Today, however, he has taken refuge in Ram.”

Malhotra insisted that the public has understood his ‘drama’. He said, “Lord Ram is a symbol of truth. The people of Delhi and the country have completely understood your Sundarkand drama.”

AAP counterattacks, praying to save religion

However, defending this religious event, AAP leader Sanjeev Jha said that this prayer is a way to save religion from those who are exploiting it. Jha said, “We used to organize a ‘path’ every Tuesday in the party office. This question is being raised today because Lord Ram has exposed those who, wearing the garb of Sanatan Dharma, tried to loot the Ram temple. Today we are praying to save our religion from those who are harming it, that is why BJP members are raising this question.”

He further took a dig at the BJP for opposing the event. Jha said, “If they were true followers of Sanatan Dharma, they would be happy to see the religion spreading and chanting God’s name everywhere. Instead, they are restless.” (ANI)
