Jason Holder Retire from ODI: West Indies head coach Darren Sammy has confirmed the news of Jason Holder’s retirement from ODIs. Sammy said in Wisden Cricket’s podcast that Holder has retired from ODI but he will be available for the team in Test cricket. This is the first official statement on Jason Holder’s retirement from ODI. The former captain of the Caribbean team himself has never given any official statement in this regard.

Darren Sammy gave a statement on Holder’s retirement from ODI when he was asked where he fits in the West Indies’ plans? Sammy said that yes Jason is still a part of the Test team. He has definitely retired from ODI. But, he is interested in playing in Test. Holder also plays franchise cricket, so his availability will also be a big question.

Scored 2237 runs in 138 ODIs
Jason Holder has played a total of 138 matches in his 10-year ODI career between 2013 and 2023. During this period, he has scored 2237 runs at an average of 24.85 and his highest score has been 99 runs. Holder, who played in the lower middle order, did not score a triple figure score even once in his ODI career but scored 11 half-centuries with his bat.
