The first case has come to light under the Waqf Act from the CB law of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, where government land in Sarania village was illegally occupied by calling it a waqf property. An FIR has been registered against 11 people in this case. Puttan Shah, a resident of the village, had complained about the entire case to the SSP of Bareilly. He said that a person named Sabje Ali of the village kept a fakir named Syed Hamid Hasan in front and captured the government land in the name of the cemetery. After the death of Hamid Hasan, a confirmed tomb was built there and the land was registered in the name of the trust by calling it a dargah.
In fact, Puttan Shah alleges that on 24 November 2020, a fake trust was registered in the name of Syed Hamid Hasan Dargah Charitable Trust. In the trust, Sabje Ali made himself a trustee as his wife Zakira and four daughters Farah Naz, Gulnaz, Shana Jafri and Rahila Jafri. Also, Manish Kumar was also included in the trust, which is being described as the mastermind of this whole matter.
FIR lodged against 11 people
In the name of the trust, the work of chaos was started and money was also collected from the people. When Puttan Shah opposed this, he was assaulted.
When the entire matter was investigated on the orders of the SSP, the revenue department confirmed that the land which was occupied. It is the three bigha government land of the cemetery, which has been occupied. After investigation, the police registered an FIR against 11 people at CBGanj police station.
Police is investigating the case
The special thing in this case is that this Waqf Amendment Act is the first case registered in Bareilly after the implementation of the law. It has become clear from this that government lands were being used for personal benefits by registering fake wealth in a fake manner. Now the police is seriously investigating this matter and is preparing for strict action against the accused. The police have filed a report against Sabje Ali, Mrs. Zakira, Farah Naz, Gulnaz, Sana Jafri, Rahila Jaffrey, Manish Kumar, Asif Ali, Ahmed Ali, Maqsood, Jab in Gambhir in the whole case.
