
Jalandhar police have arrested an army soldier posted in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, who is accused of training the accused who was throwing a grenade at YouTuber Roger Sandhu’s house in Jalandhar on the night of 15-16 March last month. A senior police officer said that the accused jawan has been identified as Constable Sukhcharan Singh.
Sources associated with Punjab Police are reported to have been reported that the army soldier posted in Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested on the charge of playing a role in the grenade attack on YouTuber Roger Sandhu. The arrested jawan, who was identified as 30 -year -old soldier Sukhcharan Singh alias Nikka, is originally from Muktsar in Punjab. He was arrested from Rajouri. The responsibility of this attack was taken by a Pakistani gangster.
Training to throw grenade through online
Sukhcharan Singh is accused that he trained a person to throw and use online grenade, after which on 15-16 March, he attacked a YouTuber’s house in Jalandhar with a grenade. This soldier was currently posted in the 163 Infantry Brigade in Rajouri. A police officer said, “We have told the army officers about the evidence found against the jawan and they have handed over the accused to our custody.”
According to reports, he was identified through Instagram from the accused. He first trained the accused through dummy grenade and then taught how to use the real grenade.
Accused on 5 days police remand
Jalandhar police reached Rajouri 2 days ago to catch the accused Sukhcharan Singh and returned with him. After bringing Jalandhar, he was produced in court where he was sent on 5 days police remand.
The police officer said, “Since he is a soldier, he is aware of using such weapons and ammunition. After being taken into custody, more information about his involvement will be revealed during interrogation.” Earlier, Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti took responsibility for the attack on Roger Sandhu.
