948 new posts in UP Universities: The Yogi government has taken a big step in higher education and approved 948 new posts in Guru Jambheshwar, Maa Vindhyavasini and mother Pateshwari universities. This will increase educational quality and provide new employment opportunities to the youth.

UP Universitys Recruitment 2025: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a major step in the field of higher education, approved the creation of a total of 948 new posts in three newly formed universities-Guru Jambheshwar University (Moradabad), Maa Vindhyavasini University (Mirzapur) and Maa Pateshwari University (Balrampur). This includes 468 temporary teaching posts and 480 outsourcing posts. The government says that this decision will strengthen the administrative and functional system of universities, increase educational quality and will provide new employment opportunities for the youth.

Government’s vision on higher education

Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state is setting new records in the field of higher education. The creation of new positions in universities will not only strengthen the administrative structure, but will also ensure quality education and employment opportunities to the youth.

468 temporary teaching posts

156 temporary teaching posts have been approved in each university. These posts will remain effective till 28 February 2026 and can also be abolished if required. These include posts like pharmacist, electrician, under engineer, stenographer, assistant accountant, lab technician, lab assistant, sub -registrar, assistant registrar, medical officer and staff nurse. Their recruitment will be through subordinate service selection commission, direct recruitment, promotion and deputation.

480 outsourcing posts, youth will get benefit

In addition, 160 posts in each university will be completed through outsourcing. These include posts like computer operator, cleanliness, watchman, gardener, peon, driver and library attendant. The outsourcing process will be completed in a fair and transparent manner through the Gem portal.

The government has clarified that all the rules related to reservation will be followed in this process. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said many times that providing quality education and employment to the youth of the state is his priority. This decision will not only strengthen universities but will also prove to be a solid step towards empowering higher education and making the youth self -reliant.
