
The number of medicines and surgical goods is being increased at the counter of Hospital Revolving Fund (HRF) at King George Medical University (KGMU) of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Now three and a half thousand types of medicines will be available surgical goods in this cheap rate.
Currently about 2000 types of medicines are available, which will be increased to more than 3500. This will give the patients the benefit of more medicines at a cheaper rate and they will reduce the need to buy medicines from outside. This step is considered an important towards the convenience of patients and providing better healthcare.
4500 beds in kgmu
KGMU currently has about four and a half thousand beds. Most of these beds are always full. The hospital has OPD of six to seven thousand patients here daily. HRF has been arranged to give benefits of medicines at a cheaper rate to all patients. In this, medicines are purchased directly from companies. With this, KGMU will provide medicines at a very low price. Many medicines are available at 70 percent lower price from the market.
17 counters of HRF, 2000 types of medicine
KGMU currently has 17 counters of HRF. There are about 2000 types of medicines and surgical items. Despite this, many patients have to go back. Many times doctors have to write such medicines, which are not available here. In such a situation, patients have to buy medicines from outside.
Now 3500 types of medicine will be found
The KGMU administration will now increase about 1500 types of medicines and surgical items here for the help of patients. With this, HRF will have 3500 types of medicines and surgical goods. This includes medicines and injections used in the treatment of antibiotics, immunity, stomach, surgery, bone, heart, woman etc. Their tender process is being done.
