Punjab Kings played their sixth match against Kolkata Knight Riders on 15 April. In this match, captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bat first. At the same time, KKR killed Punjab for 111 runs in 15.3 overs. After which the Punjab team had to face trolling of fans on social media.

The Punjab Kings (Punjab Kings) team scored 245 runs against Hyderabad in the last match. But, in front of KKR bowlers, Punjab batsmen kneeled in their house.
