Story of Kumbhalgarh
Kumbhalgarh is a very mysterious story associated with the construction of the wall of the fort. It is said that when Maharana Kumbha started its construction work in 1443, he faced many obstacles. Concerned by this, Rana Kumbha called a saint and told him all his problems. The saint said that the construction of the wall will move forward only when someone voluntarily sacrificed himself. Hearing this, Rana Kumbha was again worried, but then another saint said that he is ready to sacrifice himself for it. He said that he will continue to walk on the hill and wherever he stays, he should be sacrificed. The saint stopped at a place on the hill, where he was murdered and thus the construction of the wall was completed.
