
Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) inaugurated the newly constructed Keshav Bhavan and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Auditorium in Kanpur on Monday (14 April). The event was organized on the occasion of Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. On this occasion, he praised Ambedkar’s efforts to unite Hindu society. He said that despite facing difficulties since childhood, he was committed to social harmony and national development.
In his address on the occasion of the inauguration of Keshav Bhawan, the regional office of the newly constructed four -storey association in Karawalo Nagar, Bhagwat said that Baba Saheb had to face difficulties in his life. From childhood, he had to face discrimination and inequality, but still he tried to unite Hindu society throughout his life. He said that his commitment to social unity and progress is an inspiration for all.
‘Ambedkar and Hedgewar worked for Hindu society’
Bhagwat also mentioned the similarities between Ambedkar and Sangh founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. He said that both people dedicated their lives to the upliftment of society and kept the same view for national development. He said that both Ambedkar and Hedgewar worked for Hindu society throughout their life. He dreamed of a strong and developed India. Bhagwat said that it is a matter of fortunate that the new Keshav Bhavan of the Sangh was inaugurated on the day of Ambedkar Jayanti. Bhagwat said that once Ambedkar joined the Sangh branch in Karad, Maharashtra, he said- there can be differences on some cases, but I feel familiar here.
‘Those who call themselves Hindus are accountable to the country and society’
Along with this, he said that those who call themselves Hindus are accountable for the country and society. One day he will be asked what he did for India. Bhagwat said that Hindu society should be prepared for this responsibility. He also said that the Sangh is performing its duty towards the nation through its work.
