The reason for the closure of internet services in Malda and Birbhum has been told that if no action is taken, rumors can also spread in the respective areas of these two districts. Therefore, it has been decided to stop internet services in some areas of Malda and Birbhum as a precaution.

Explain that at least three people died, many others were injured and many shops were set on fire due to violent protests against Waqf (Amendment) Act in Suti and Samasherganj blocks of Murshidabad district. A large number of people migrated from those areas after the violence started on Friday.

Two companies of central forces have been deployed in Farakka, Sati and Shamserganj areas to keep the national highway operational. Two more companies are marching in that area. Another company has been designed as ‘Accelerated Response Team’.
