Mahindra has launched a new chapter in the electric vehicle (EV) segment with the launch of two electric Indian Origin SUVs XEV 9E and BE 6 at the end of last year. The delivery of both battery -powered SUVs started last month. The company has so far delivered cars to more than 3000 customers.
Mahindra told that she has delivered 3014 units of SUV so far. These delivery include both XEV 9E and BE 6 models. Although Mahindra has not given an accurate details of each volume, the company says that it has received 59 percent orders for XEV 9E and 41 percent for BE 6. The price of Mahindra BE 6 starts at Rs 18.90 lakh ex-showroom in New Delhi and the price of Mahindra XEV 9E starts from Rs 21.90 lakh ex-showroom in New Delhi.

Mahindra also told that the waiting of both electric SUVs has been extended by 6 months. The company is increasing delivery across the country very fast to reduce waiting. Mahindra electric car range
Both Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E are available with the option of two battery packs. It has a 59kwh and 79kwh pack option. The first battery pack in BE 6 gives a range of 557 km and the second offers a range of 682 km, while in XEV 9E, like in BE 6, battery packs in BE 6 give 542 km and a slightly less range of 656 km.
Mahindra Electric Car Charger
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E are built on Mahindra’s Inhouses Inglo Skateboard electric platform, while Motors is borrowed from Volkswagen. Mahindra is offering two AC charging options with both these EVs, which has an option of 7.2 kW and 11.2 kW. Their price is Rs 50,000 and Rs 75,000. The price and installation cost of both these charger is not included in the ex-showroom price.
