Lawrence Bishnoi gang also arrested operatives
Recently, the Anti-Gangter Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police arrested two active operatives while busting the Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang. A.32 caliber pistol has been recovered from his possession. This information was given by Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav.
Those arrested have been identified as Jashandeep Singh alias Jashan Sandhu and Gursevak Singh, resident of 25 ML village in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the accused Jashan Sandhu was involved in a 2023 murder case in Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Georgia, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Dubai were constantly avoiding arrest by changing hideouts.
The DGP said that recently, on the instructions of his bosses, the accused Jashan returned to India and went from Dubai to Nepal before entering India by road in an attempt to avoid law enforcement. DGP Yadav said that preliminary investigation has revealed that accused Jashan played an important role in providing logistics aid to the gang. He said that his inquiry has also identified the bases of foreign hawala operators, travel agents and fugitive gangsters hidden abroad, which is an essential step to eliminate these networks.
