IPL (IPL 2025) is celebrated in the cricket world these days. In cricket, there is more dominance of batsmen. Which is now being discussed between the veterans. It is being told that in view of the dominance of the batsmen, the veteran players of the cricket world have made up their mind to change a rule, on which a meeting is going to be held in a few hours i.e. Sunday.
This rule of cricket world can change
The IPL (IPL 2025) is currently celebrated in the country. But in the meantime, the echo of changing the rules is also heard in the cricket world. Actually, batsmen dominate in ODI cricket. Due to this, the ICC can change the rule of using two balls in 50 overs format. The ICC Cricket Committee headed by Sourav Ganguly has recommended the use of a ball in ODIs. We know that the rule of two new balls has been applicable for more than a decade. It is only on this that there is a conversation between the veterans. There is going to be a meeting on Sunday.
What is the rule of batting
Two new balls are used in ODI cricket. The ball remains strict due to the bowlers using different new balls from every end. This gives the batsmen the benefit of opening runs. Outside the circle of 30 yards, only four fielders get unfair advantage to the bowlers. Even the great Sachin Tendulkar has often talked about the impact on scoring runs with two new balls.
According to a PTI report, the ICC Cricket Committee has recommended a change in three rules. Using a white ball in ODI cricket, using ‘Clock Timer’ (Timer Watch) to check the over rate in Test matches and convert the Under -19 Men’s World Cup from 50 overs to T20. It is being told that two balls can be used by the 25th over. After this, the bowling team will be given the option to keep one of the two balls to complete the match.
There will be talk on change of rules
The ICC will talk in the meeting on the change of these rules that they can be changed or not? In some cases the need for this game is being considered, then some experts are calling it a disappointing change for the coming time. In such a situation, it has to be seen what the BCCI decides after assessing.
