Violence is taking place in West Bengal regarding Waqf law. There have been incidents of violence in many areas of Murshidabad-Malda, Hooghly district including Suti, Shamsherganj. In this regard, the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari filed a case in the Calcutta High Court alleging unrest across the state. He also alleged that the state police has been unable to handle the situation.
On this basis, the case was heard quickly by the special bench of Justice Samen Sen and Justice Raja Basu Chaudhary. The court ordered the deployment of central forces to calm unrest in Murshidabad on Saturday evening.
While joining the procession organized on Hanuman Jayanti on Saturday evening, the opposition leader said, “The situation in the state is out of the control of the police. The central force specializes in dealing with all these situations. He has cooled Srinagar, Kashmir. Where the disturbance spreads, central forces work together with the district officials.”

Shubhendu said, ‘I have been saying for many days that the state police is unable to bring unrest under control. Police vehicles are being lit, sabotage is being done. Many police officers have already been seriously injured.
Soon after, Shubhendu Adhikari said about the incident of beating a father and son during unrest in Shamsherganj, “I heard that two people have beaten to death yesterday, whose bodies have been recovered by BSF today, but who is behind this isolated unrest focused on Waqf? This situation is the result.

Innocent Hindus were brutally attacked, their houses and properties were destroyed and heartbreaking news of loss of life and property has come to light. The state administration has completely failed to maintain law and order. Even worse is that he shamelessly tried to stop the deployment of central forces.
He said that the decision of the Calcutta High Court failed is a strong policy for the Chief Minister’s tremendous policy and administrative failure.
