The case was heard on Saturday by a special bench of Justice Samen Sen and Justice Raja Basu Chaudhary. The High Court has ordered the deployment of central forces in the case.

Shubhendu requested the deployment of central forces in some parts of four districts of the state. The state counsel initially objected. The state told the High Court that Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar has already left for Murshidabad. Help is also being sought from the Border Security Force (BSF).

This Parashubhendu’s lawyer said that BSF only covers the border area. CISFO is also part of central forces. The lawyer of this perpetrator said that it costs a lot to deploy central force, Toshubhendu’s lawyer has not more valuable than human life.
