
The Bareilly police of Uttar Pradesh have discharged a large consignment of fake cosmetic and health products. During this period, the police seized goods worth Rs 1.25 crore. The shocking thing about this whole matter is that the expiry products of the famous brand were being sold openly in the markets of Bareilly and people did not even know about it. During the police interrogation, the accused said that they used to buy cheap products from Delhi at cheap prices.
Fake beauty products and medicines have been recovered from a rented room in Bareilly’s Gandhinagar Colony. The price of this caught goods is about 1 crore 25 lakh rupees. Police raided 320 boxes and 38 sacks of expiry products. Also, packing machines, heat seirs, thinners, fake labels, stickers and expiry date seals have also been recovered. You cannot even imagine that the brands that you blindly trust, such as Johnson & Johnson, Himalaya, Dabur, Fair and Lovely, Park Avenue, Prega News were selling in the shops of their expiry versions Bareilly.
Fake goods used to come from Delhi
Police arrested Karan Sahni, a resident of Sitapur district, in this raid. During interrogation, Karan confessed that he used to buy expired products from Delhi at cheap prices. Then, by bringing Bareilly, he used to repk new packing and latest date and repatched them in different areas of the city. The accused were selling these goods in areas like Gangapur, Sailani, Faridpur, Amla, Mirganj, Sirauli.
Huge amount of expiry products seized
The customer did not even suspect these products because the packing was so clean that everyone looked like real. Bareilly SP City Manush Pareek’s team has found huge amount of expiry products and packing items from the accused. The investigation of who and people are connected behind it is going on. There may be sooner more arrests in this case.
