Auspicious Things for Sawan: The devotees of Bholenath are eagerly waiting for Sawan. This month is starting from 30th July i.e. Thursday and will end on 28th August. The first Monday of Sawan is on 3rd August. In Sanatan Dharma, Sawan is considered one of the most sacred months. This month is completely dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. According to the belief, worshiping Lord Shiva with devotion in Shravan removes the sorrows of life and brings happiness and prosperity, hence many people bring some auspicious things home and worship them before the beginning of Shravan.

Bring Rudraksh at home

Bringing Rudraksh to the house before the beginning of Sawan is considered extremely auspicious. According to religious beliefs, Rudraksha has a direct connection with Lord Shiva. By installing Rudraksha in the house and worshiping it regularly, the flow of positive energy increases and many difficulties of life gradually start going away. Many devotees also wear Rudraksha during Shravan.

Nandi is considered to be a great devotee of Lord Shiva and his vehicle. It is believed that Lord Shiva is pleased by bringing a silver Nandi home and installing it near the Shivalinga before Sawan. It is also believed that by worshiping Nandi with devotion, wishes are fulfilled.

Offering water to Lord Shiva in Sawan has special significance, hence before the beginning of this month, it is considered auspicious to buy a copper vessel and bring it home. It is believed that offering water in a copper vessel on Shivalinga brings auspicious results and receives the blessings of Lord Shiva.
