The police have arrested Manendra Singh, a Hinduist leader who hoisted saffron on the tomb of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi, the commander of foreign Akranta Mahmud Ghaznavi in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Manendra Singh, who described himself as an alumnus leader, on Sunday, on the occasion of Ram Navami, hoisted the saffron flag by climbing the tomb of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi in Sikandra. In this case, the police reached the spot and registered a case against more than 20 accused.
Among them, Manendra Pratap Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Vinay Tiwari, Abhishek Singh etc. are accused. According to the police, Manendra Pratap Singh is associated with the Hinduist organization Maharaja Suheldev Samman Security Manch. He describes himself as an alumni leader of Allahabad University. On Sunday, when the festival of Ram Navami was being celebrated all over the country, Manendra along with his comrades shouted slogans of Jai Shri Ram and climbed the tomb of Ghazi Mian in Sikandra. The saffron flag was hoisted on both the domes, creating a ruckus there.
Police sent accused to jail
After this, the Prayagraj police, which came into action, had filed a case against the accused and his associates in the relevant sections. In this case, the police arrested the accused on Monday. The police have presented the accused in court and sent them to jail. According to the police, the arrest of the accused has been done on charges of trying to spoil the atmosphere. A case was filed against him at Bahria police station in Prayagraj on Sunday.
