Patna (Bihar) [भारत]July 10 (ANI): An incident of road jam and arson has come to light after the death of a contract lineman at Beur Mor in Patna. The family has alleged that he was beaten to death by a mob after his car accidentally hit a child.
Following the incident on Thursday, police personnel were deployed at the spot to control the situation and restore traffic movement in the area.
Family accused of murder
The family members of the deceased alleged that the mob attacked the contract lineman after a two-year-old child was allegedly crushed to death while reversing the vehicle.
Speaking to ANI, Anurag, brother of the deceased lineman, said, “…I don’t know what happened while reversing the vehicle. A two-year-old child who was playing came under the vehicle. Even if the child had come under the vehicle, what was the need to kill him?”
“He was locked in the room and killed inside. After killing, they are claiming that he has committed suicide. What is this? Are they trying to fool us? He was deliberately killed by the officers and people living in the quarters there,” he alleged.
Police officials are monitoring the situation and taking steps to restore normalcy in the area. (ANI)
