Delhi government launched AI smart toilets, STEM labs, smart classrooms and girl health campaign under Saksham programme. Top students will go to America.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched several important initiatives under the ‘Saksham’ program to boost the quality of education, technological innovation and holistic development of students in government schools in the capital. The objective of these new schemes is to connect government schools with modern technology, prepare students for future needs and pay equal attention to both their health and education.
The Chief Minister said that the Delhi Government aims to equip government schools with such facilities where students can learn with modern technology, innovate and make their mark at the global level.
Country’s first AI-integrated smart school toilet started in Shalimar Bagh
Under the Saksham programme, India’s first AI-Integrated Smart School Toilet was launched in a government school located in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. This smart toilet is equipped with modern technology, where cleanliness, maintenance and usage will be monitored through Artificial Intelligence (AI). The objective of this initiative is to provide better sanitation facilities to students, especially girl students, and create a healthy environment in schools.
STEM Innovation Labs started in all government schools of Delhi
Delhi government has started STEM Innovation Labs in all government schools of the capital. In these labs, students will be able to work on projects related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through these laboratories, scientific thinking, problem solving ability, innovation and research spirit will be promoted among the students. The government believes that this initiative will prepare students for the technological world of the future.
Smart digital classrooms and modern computer labs started
Modern Computer Labs and Smart Digital Classrooms have also been started in government schools to make learning more effective and interactive. Health and hygiene campaign for 3,000 girl students
A special health campaign has also been started for about 3,000 girl students under the Saksham programme. Under this, these facilities will be provided-
- Regular medical check-up
- Eye Screening
- Free spectacles to needy girl students
- De-worming (deworming)
- Training on Menstrual Hygiene
The aim of this initiative is to strengthen the health, self-confidence and regular education of girl students.
Saksham program is being implemented with the help of Ladli Foundation
All these initiatives are being implemented in collaboration with Laadli Foundation. This partnership is considered an important step towards promoting quality education, modern technology, innovation and holistic student development in government schools. The government says that through this program, students studying in government schools will also get modern facilities like private institutions.
Delhi students get opportunity for space science program in America
The top five performing students of the STEM Innovation Labs launched under the Saksham program have been selected for the Space Science Program of the prestigious United States Space & Rocket Center (USSRC).
These students will go to America and receive special training related to space science. The Delhi government will bear the entire expenses including his air travel. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while congratulating the selected students, said that this achievement is a proof not only of these students but also of the quality and talent of the government schools of Delhi.
New education policy and digital learning will get a boost
