Chhattisgarh government held a review meeting to give new impetus to tourism and culture development. Minister Rajesh Aggarwal directed to complete the projects on time and with quality.
Raipur. With the aim of including Chhattisgarh among the leading tourism states of the country and preserving and developing the rich cultural heritage of the state, a high-level review meeting of the Tourism and Culture Department was organized under the chairmanship of Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal in the Ministry. In the meeting, the plans of both the departments, tourism infrastructure, development projects, major tourist destinations, cultural activities and future action plans were discussed in detail.
Tourism Department gave presentation of development works and upcoming plans
During the meeting, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Shri Vivek Acharya gave a detailed presentation to Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal and Secretary of Tourism Department, Dr. S. Bharathidasan was informed about various schemes of the department, development of tourism infrastructure, progress of major projects, facilities being provided for tourists, achievements and upcoming plans of the department.
Culture Department shared information about conservation and promotion of folk arts.
Director of Culture Department, Dr. Sanjay Kannauje presented detailed information about cultural conservation programs run by the department, promotion of folk art and folk artists, cultural events, conservation of archaeological heritage and upcoming programs. The works and schemes of the Culture Department were also reviewed in detail in the meeting.
Minister Rajesh Aggarwal gave instructions to complete quality work within the time limit.
After the presentation, Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, while reviewing the work of both the departments in detail, directed the officials that all the schemes and development projects should be completed with high quality within the stipulated time. He said that quality, transparency, speed and effective implementation should be ensured in every project so that the tourism and cultural development of the state can get a new direction.
Natural, religious and cultural tourism should get recognition at the national level.
Minister Shri Aggarwal said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in natural beauty, historical heritage, religious faith centres, rich cultural heritage and tribal traditions. It is necessary to effectively promote all these characteristics at the national and international level. He directed the officials to work in a planned manner to give wide recognition to the natural, historical, religious and cultural tourist places as well as the folk arts, folk artists and cultural heritage of the state.
Emphasis on modern facilities and strong tourism infrastructure for tourists
In the meeting, the Minister laid special emphasis on providing better and modern facilities to tourists, strengthening tourism infrastructure and planned development of new tourist destinations. He said that continuous improvement in tourism facilities will increase the number of tourists in the state and will also strengthen the local economy.
Special focus on cultural heritage conservation and connecting the new generation
Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal directed the Culture Department to make conservation of cultural heritage of the state, promotion of traditional art forms, museums, cultural institutions and cultural events more effective. He also stressed on increasing public participation and said that it is very important to connect the new generation with our rich cultural heritage.
Development works will be completed on time with regular monitoring
At the end of the meeting, the Minister directed the officials to ensure regular review and continuous monitoring of all the projects, so that there is no unnecessary delay at any stage. He said that through timely, quality and result based works, Chhattisgarh can be established among the leading states of the country in the field of tourism and culture.
