CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated projects worth Rs 30.86 crore in Shajapur. Made many big announcements regarding farmers, women, irrigation, UCC, investment and development.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of various development works prepared at a cost of about Rs 30.86 crore during a program organized at Kalapipal in Shajapur district on July 9. On this occasion, he inaugurated the Kisan Samriddhi Sankalp Conference and the ‘Green Black Peepal’ plantation campaign by lighting the lamp. Before the program, a grand road show of the Chief Minister was organized, in which a large number of people welcomed him by showering flowers.

During the program, the Chief Minister also announced construction of new roads and railway overbridges for Shajapur district. He also said that the state government will make efforts towards implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) this month.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the area of ​​Kalapipal and Shajapur is full of natural beauty. He expressed the blessings of Mother Rajarajeshwari on this area and said that the plantation campaign here is creating a new record. He said that this area has been blessed by many rivers including Newaj, Lakundar, Chillar, Parvati. The Chief Minister compared Shajapur to the land that gives prosperity to the country. He said that this district has its own identity in the three fields of agriculture, organization and development.

Kisan Sammelan: One year loan to farmers, interest problem will end

Addressing the farmers, the Chief Minister said that those who give greenery to the earth are the ones who build the future. He said that the government is ready to take every possible decision in the interest of farmers. He announced that now farmers will get relief from the trouble of paying interest every six months. The government is working towards providing them agricultural loans for a period of one year.

Referring to the farmer-friendly schemes run under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that many schemes including Kisan Samman Nidhi are continuously benefiting the farmers. He also said that through Narmada Project, water has reached 118 villages of Shajapur and irrigation facility will soon be provided to the remaining villages also.

Picture changed due to irrigation projects, irrigated area increased under BJP government

The Chief Minister said that the biggest work of strengthening the irrigation system in the state has been done by the Bharatiya Janata Party government. He said that till the year 2002-03, only about seven and a half lakh hectares of land was irrigated in the state, whereas now this area has increased to about 44 lakh hectares. He said that earlier farmers had to face a lot of trouble for electricity and water, but now separate electricity arrangements have been made for villages and farms. In the coming time, farmers will be provided electricity for irrigation during the day. The Chief Minister claimed that farmers are now getting better facilities to purchase crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the government is making continuous efforts to reduce their costs and increase their income.

Targeting Congress, making serious allegations on farmers and water issues

Taking aim at the Congress, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the previous governments did not do the expected work in the field of farmers and irrigation. He alleged that during the Congress rule, disputes regarding distribution of water among the states increased and farmers could not get proper facilities. He said that the BJP government is continuously working on giving respect to the farmers as well as increasing their income.

Parvati-Kalisindh and Ken-Betwa projects will get big benefits

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the years-old water dispute between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan has ended through the Parvati-Kalisindh project. This will benefit 15 districts of Rajasthan and 13 districts of Madhya Pradesh. He said that an agreement has been signed with Uttar Pradesh for the Ken-Betwa river linking project, which will improve the irrigation and drinking water situation in the entire Bundelkhand region. The Chief Minister also said that under the Sardar Sarovar Project, the economic burden on the state has also reduced considerably.

Chief Minister’s big statement on Ladli Brahmin Yojana

The Chief Minister said that the state government has continuously worked for the economic empowerment of women. He said that till now about Rs 60 thousand crores have been sent to the accounts of women under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana. He said that the amount of the scheme was gradually increased and this has provided financial strength to women. The Chief Minister also accused Congress of opposing the plan.

Preparation to implement UCC, advocacy of one country-one law

During the program, the Chief Minister said that there is no need to have different laws for different communities. He said that there should be equal laws for all citizens so that everyone can get equal rights and respect. He said that the state government will try to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the Assembly this month. The Chief Minister said that this step will be important keeping in mind the respect and equal rights of Muslim women.

Government’s focus on increasing investment, employment and farmers’ income

The Chief Minister said that investment worth about Rs 10 lakh crore has come into the state, which will create new employment opportunities. He informed that the long pending sub-inspector recruitment process has also been started and avenues of promotion have also been opened. He said that PepsiCo plant is being established in Shajapur area, which will provide better market to the farmers for potato cultivation. Farmers were also encouraged to develop home-stays on their roadside lands. The government clarified that no additional electricity charges will be charged on such home-stays.
