IPL 2025 is going to start from 22 March. But, before that, a decision for England star Harry Brook may get a 2 -year ban on him. Brook was bought by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Harry Brook landed in the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore, but Delhi Capitals spent more than the third amount of their base price to buy them. The Delhi franchise had signed Harry Brook’s deal for Rs 6.25 crore.
Harry Brook sides from IPL 2025
Now the question is, what step has been taken by Harry Brook, due to which he has been banned like being banned for 2 years in IPL. So it is directly related to withdrawal of his name from IPL 2025. The England player has decided to withdraw the name from the next season of IPL starting on March 22. The reason for this decision of Brook is private. He actually wants some rest after his boring program of international cricket. This is the second consecutive year when Brook has opted out of IPL by giving personal reasons.
Why can it take a 2 -year ban?
Now if the organizers of the IPL decided to walk under the rules, then it is very possible that Harry Brook can be banned for 2 years. Even before the 2025 mega auction by the IPL, the rule was issued that if a player withdraws his name from the league after purchasing in the auction, then there will be a danger of suffering a 2 -year ban.
Brook apologizes for his decision
The 26 -year -old Brook has apologized to Delhi Capitals and his fans for withdrawing his name at the last minute. In his statement released, he said that I have made a very difficult decision, for which I want to apologize to Delhi Capitals and his supporter.
