jakarta [इंडोनेशिया]July 7 (ANI): Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a leader whom he greatly admires. He said that he has studied and adopted many policies of PM Modi. Speaking at an event for Indian expatriates in Jakarta, President Prabowo noted Indonesia’s deep connection with Indian culture and said the country’s language is largely derived from Sanskrit. The Indonesian President, who spoke before PM Modi, said that the people of Indonesia should learn from India’s experience and that its civilization, its culture is greatly influenced by Indian civilization.

PM Modi said, “I do not want to get involved in the domestic politics of India. I am a friend of all Indians, but I want to confess one thing and my close associates and colleagues will testify that I am a big fan of Narendra Modi ji. I am not a professional politician. I lost four times… Even before becoming the President, I studied the policies of the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) and because there is no copyright, I read many of his Copied the policies. President Subianto said that he has Indian DNA in him. He said, “Just before my state visit to India, I got a genome sequencing test done. I tested my DNA and found that I have Indian DNA in me. And that’s why I feel whenever I listen to any music, especially Indian music, my body starts moving.”

He further said, “My ministers, my generals, they all love to dance, they all love to sing. Probably most of them have Indian DNA. Most of my ministers sing Indian songs very well.”

Praise for India’s unity and peaceful transfer of power

The Indonesian leader praised India’s unity in diversity and the peaceful transfer of power. “We are learning very closely from the Election Commission of India and frankly we look at India, which is a country of 1.4 billion people. We have many ethnic groups, many different regional languages, but we have been managing peaceful transfer of government in many states and in the Union of India for many years,” he said.

He further said, “It is a remarkable achievement. I am also studying it and following the remarkable achievements of India.” (ANI)
