Salary Donation to Flood Victim: Amid the damage caused by floods in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, all the cabinet ministers, speakers of the assembly and all the Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have said to donate a month’s salary to help the flood victims. The Chief Minister said that our gurus have taught us to help people in difficult times and we are following the same. He also appealed to the people to help the flood affected. He said that before September 2, people can donate ration, medicines, drinking water, flour sacks, pulses and fodder for animals.
Hunger havoc due to heavy rains
Heavy rains in Punjab have caused havoc in seven districts of the state. Many villages of these districts have been submerged in water, hundreds of acres of crops have been destroyed and many have become homeless. The team of army, police and NDRF is engaged in relief and rescue operations.
