‘Coolie’ Box Office collection day 15: Rajinikanth’s gangster drama records its LOWEST so far; crosses Rs 270 crore mark in India

Lokesh Kanagaraj ’s ‘Coolie’ featuring superstar Rajinikanth was released on 14 August. The film clashed with Ayan Mukerji’s ‘War 2’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, yet managed to stay strong at the box office. Over two weeks, it kept drawing crowds and raced towards the Rs 500 crore worldwide mark. But on its fifteenth day, the film saw its biggest dip yet.

The film had started its journey with a massive Rs 65 crore opening, and within eight days it had already reached Rs 229.65 crore. But the momentum slowed down in the second week, with the fifteenth day proving to be the weakest.
