In New Delhi, a young man was stabbed to death over an old dispute. Police solved the case in 18 hours and arrested three accused residents of Seelampur. To take revenge, the accused called the youth to the park and committed the crime.
New Delhi [भारत]July 5 (ANI): Three people have been arrested for brutally stabbing a man to death over an old dispute at DDA Park near JPC Hospital in New Delhi. According to officials, the team of New Osmanpur PS resolved the matter within 18 hours.
The arrested accused have been identified as Shahnawaz (21), Noor Hasan (20) and Anas (21), all residents of Seelampur, Delhi. This incident happened on Saturday morning.
According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man lying injured. He was immediately taken to JPC Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased was later identified as Tauheed (20), a resident of New Seelampur. A case was registered under section 103(1) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) in New Osmanpur PS and investigation was started.
Police solved the case in 18 hours
During the investigation, the forensic team inspected the spot and collected important evidence. The dedicated teams led by Station House Officer (SHO) KL Yadav, under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Seelampur, Malkiat Singh, worked tirelessly and collected vital evidence from multiple sources.
During investigation it came to light that the deceased had earlier had a fight with some people. On the basis of evidence collected and continuous efforts, the police team caught all three accused.
Murder to avenge slap and threat
During sustained interrogation, all three accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. He revealed that the deceased had earlier slapped accused Noor Hasan and threatened accused Shahnawaz of dire consequences.
To take revenge, the three hatched a conspiracy, lured the deceased to a park and attacked him with a knife. Police said the knife used in the crime has been recovered.
Detailed investigation revealed that accused Shahnawaz was earlier also involved in a robbery case. Further investigation is ongoing in the matter. (ANI)
