madrid [स्पेन]July 5 (ANI): Spanish football giant Real Madrid on Sunday announced that it has signed Netherlands star player Denzel Dumfries on a four-year deal, which will run till June 2030.
A statement issued by the club said that an agreement has been reached between Dumfries’ former club and Real Madrid regarding the transfer of the footballer, under which Dumfries will remain with Real Madrid for the next four seasons till June 30, 2030. “Real Madrid CF and Inter Milan have reached an agreement for the transfer of Denzel Dumfries, who will remain with our club for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030,” a club statement read.
Great journey with Inter Milan
Dumfries won multiple team titles while at Inter Milan from 2021–26, including two Serie A titles, a UEFA Champions League title in the 2024–25 season, and three Coppa Italia titles. The Dutch full-back joins Real Madrid after making 207 appearances for Inter Milan, scoring 27 goals, providing 28 assists and winning eight trophies.
Dumfries’ international and club career
Dumfries was also a part of the Netherlands’ FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign, which ended in the Round of 32, when the team lost 2–3 to Morocco on penalties. He gave two assists in the tournament. Before moving to Inter Milan, Dumfries played in the Dutch football circuit for clubs such as Sparta Rotterdam (2014–17), Heerenveen (2017–18), and PSV Eindhoven. (ANI)
