The 2026 edition of the has officially wrapped up after two exciting weeks celebrating global cinema on the French Riviera.
The prestigious event, which welcomed some of the biggest names from the entertainment world on its iconic red carpet, concluded on Saturday with a grand awards ceremony. The winners of top honours, including the Palme d’Or, were announced at the Palais des Festivals. This year’s competition jury was led by acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook. The jury panel also featured renowned names from the entertainment world, including filmmakers Diego Crspedes, Laura Wandel and Chlor Zhao, actors Demi Moore, Ruth Negga and Stellan Skarsgård, along with screenwriter Paul Laverty.
Cannes Film Festival 2026 Award Winners
French actress Eyade Haidara hosted the closing ceremony of the .Legendary star Barbra Streisand was honoured with the Honorary Palme d’Or. Although she could not attend the festival in person, she shared a video message thanking presenter Isabelle Huppert and the Cannes team for the recognition. Meanwhile, several films emerged as winners during the ceremony.
The Grand Prix is considered the second-highest honour at the Cannes Film Festival after the Palme d’Or. It recognises a film that stands out for its artistic excellence and powerful storytelling. This year, the award went to Minotaur by acclaimed Russian filmmaker Andrey Zvyagintsev.

The short film jury was led by filmmaker Carla Simon as president. Joining her on the panel were artist and actress Park Ji-min, screenwriter and producer Ali Asgari, actor-director Salim Kechiouche, and filmmaker Magnus von Horn, who together selected the winner of the Short Film Palme d’Or.
