Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this decision and called it a historic decision to modernize the public distribution system. He said that the scheme “Assistance in Ration Transportation and Management – ​​Income with Automation in Public Distribution System” will make the ration distribution system across the country more transparent, accountable and technology based.

The system will be strengthened with AI and modern technology

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that artificial intelligence i.e. AI and modern digital technologies will be used in the second phase of Sarthak-PDS scheme. This will make it easier to monitor the entire process of ration distribution and irregularities can be stopped quickly.

He said that the aim of the government is to ensure that the poor and needy people reach their entitlements without any hindrance. Through new technology, tracking, distribution and record management of ration will be more accurate and transparent than ever before.

Major changes in PDS in the last 10 years

The Chief Minister said that in the last decade, the Central Government has taken many big steps to digitalize the public distribution system. These include schemes like complete computerization of TPDS, IM-PDS and Smart PDS.

Apart from this, citizen centric features like “Mera Ration”, “Ann Mitra”, “Rightful Targeting Dashboard” and “Ann Sahayata” have also been implemented. The government has also rapidly taken forward reforms like ration card digitization, Aadhaar seeding, automation of fair price shops through e-POS machines, online allocation and computerized supply chain management.

Decision giving priority to poor welfare

Dr. Mohan Yadav said that this decision of Prime Minister Modi clearly shows that the Central Government is giving top priority to the welfare of the poor. He believes that this new technology-based system will not only curb corruption and fraud, but will also help in providing ration to the beneficiaries in a timely and transparent manner.
