It is said in the scriptures that whenever unrighteousness increases on earth, the creator of the world, Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, destroys unrighteousness and re-establishes righteousness on earth and later a new era begins.
In Dwaparyug, Lord Vishnu took his eighth incarnation in the form of Shri Krishna and played an important role in the Mahabharata war. In this war, God sided with the Pandavas and destroyed the unrighteous Kauravas without taking up weapons.
However, during this period, Lord Shri Krishna had to leave the direct path many times and resort to policy, deceit and cleverness to protect the religion. All these things have been declared wrong in the scriptures, but according to the circumstances of that time, all these things became necessary to protect the religion. Today we are going to tell you about the deceit done by Shri Krishna in the Mahabharata war, from Duryodhana to Jayadratha’s murder.
This clever advice was given to Duryodhana
Gandhari, the mother of Kauravas, was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. She had blindfolded herself before marrying Maharaj Dhritarashtra. His eyes had become very powerful due to his spiritual power. During the war, he called Duryodhana to him in a naked state, but he met Shri Krishna on the way and advised Duryodhana to go with a banana leaf wrapped under his thighs.
Duryodhana reached Mother Gandhari wrapped in a banana leaf. As soon as Gandhari set her eyes on Duryodhana, his entire body became like a thunderbolt, but the part which was covered with banana leaves remained weak. Later, during the fight with Bhima, Shri Krishna signaled Bhima to hit the mace under Duryodhana’s thigh and Bhima killed Duryodhana.
Karna slaughter
Karna is remembered as a great warrior in the Mahabharata war. During the war, the wheel of Karna’s chariot got stuck in the ground, hence he became unarmed. According to the rules, it was not appropriate to attack him at that time, but Shri Krishna reminded Arjun about the killing of Abhimanyu by the Kauravas in violation of the rules. Then Arjun shot an arrow at Karna and killed him.
Jayadratha slaughter
After the death of Abhimanyu, Arjun had taken a vow that he would kill Jayadratha before sunset the next day, otherwise he would take Agni Samadhi. The Kauravas hid Jayadratha and tried to buy time. Then Shri Krishna covered the sun with Sudarshan Chakra, due to which the Kaurava army thought that the sun had set. Then Jayadratha also came out happily. At the same time, Shri Krishna removed the chakra and Arjun immediately fulfilled his vow by killing Jayadratha.
Yudhishthir was called untruthful
It was becoming difficult for the Pandavas to kill Guru Dronacharya. Then God asked Bhima to kill an elephant named Ashwatthama and announce that Ashwatthama was killed. Dronacharya asked Yudhishthir to know the truth, because he knew that Yudhishthir never lies, but Shri Krishna asked Yudhishthir to tell Guru Drona about the death of Ashwatthama. Then he was asked to tell the truth, but as soon as Yudhishthir said that Ashwatthama was killed, everyone made noise.
Then he said softly, it is an elephant, not a person. Guru Drona could not hear this. Dronacharya heard only the first thing and laid down his weapons in grief, after which he was killed.
