Gilmore Girls To Celebrate 25 Years With Documentary ‘Searching For Stars Hollow’ In October; Deets Inside

On the occasion of the famous sitcom Gilmore Girls’ 25 years, the drama is now set for a documentary adaptation. To be titled Searching For Stars Hollow, this documentary film will release in October and will star Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester) and Chad Michael Murrag (Tistin Dugrey).

The seven season TV series Gilmore Girls, which debuted in October 2000, will celebrate 25 years of its release. To honor the fame and craze among audience, it has recently been announced that a documentary film Searching Fr Stars Hollow is in the making, as per news portal The Hollywood Reporter.

The documentary will feature interviews from Keiko Agena (Lane Kim), Sally Struthers (Babette Dell), Liz Torres (Miss Patty), Emily Kuroda (Mrs. Kim), Rose Abdoo (Gypsy), Kathleen Wilhoite (Liz Danes), Matt Jones (Morgan), Grant Lee Phillips (the town troubadour), director Jamie Babbit, writer and producer Stan Zimmerman, casting directors Jami Rudofsky and Mara Casey, and Kevin T Porter, host of the Gilmore Guys podcast.

The new documentary will be directed by Meghna Balakumar and Kevin Konrad Hanna, with Adam F. Goldberg executive producing and Jim Demonakos producing.

“The interviews that we’ve already conducted with the cast have been a delight. We’ve shot more than 100 hours of footage and have already unearthed stories, commentary, critiques, and more. And we’re continuing to shoot more interviews in the coming months to present the most complete, full and truly new story of the show’s impact and legacy that is only possible at this historical moment,” Meghna Balakumar said.
