More than 1 crore youth participated in the Delhi Next program. The innovations of the top 60 teams will be piloted by the Delhi government in traffic, pollution and citizen services.
Delhi Government is continuously making new efforts towards directly linking the technical talent and innovation of the youth with good governance. In the Delhi Next – Code, Create & Change program organized in this series, young innovators from across the country presented technology-based solutions to civic problems. Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta praised the participants calling this initiative an important step towards a developed Delhi and said that the government will work closely with the concerned departments to bring these useful innovations to the ground.

Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta wholeheartedly praised the talent, energy and innovation of the youth across the country participating in the Delhi Next – Code, Create & Change program. He said that the youth of the country have new thinking, new technology and the ability to solve the problems of the society. The government aims not to limit these ideas to mere competition but to implement them as real projects. The Chief Minister said that when the creative thinking of the youth connects with the administrative system, the development of the city gets a new impetus. Delhi Government will continue to encourage such efforts in future also.

Delhi Next: Country’s largest Civic-Tech Innovation Program
Delhi Next – Code, Create & Change is being considered as the country’s largest civic-tech innovation program. More than 1 crore youth across the country were reached through this initiative. From this huge participation, top 60 teams were selected after various stages. These teams presented technology-based practical solutions keeping in mind the everyday citizen problems of Delhi.
New solutions found for traffic, waterlogging, pollution and digital services
The selected teams presented their innovations on several important challenges of the city. These mainly include-
- traffic management
- waterlogging problem
- air pollution
- Improving digital government services
- Making civic amenities more effective and easier
According to experts, such solutions can play an important role in strengthening the smart city model in future.

Delhi government will do pilot project of innovation
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that these useful and practical innovations will not be limited to mere presentation. Delhi Government will implement these technological solutions as a pilot project in collaboration with the concerned departments. If the results of these projects remain positive, they will be taken forward to implement them on a larger scale. This is expected to increase transparency, efficiency and convenience in citizen services.
