Police have arrested three accused and sent them to jail in the case of brutal beating and fatal attack on Khurshid Anwar Khan, former representative of former Congress MLA Nadeem Javed, in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. The victim had filed 2 cases against Nadeem Javed. In which for reconciliation, threats were also received from Dubai and Lucknow in the name of underworld don Abu Salem. The victim had also appealed to the police officers for the safety of life and property.
Khurshid Anwar Khan, resident of Parakamal village of Khetasarai police station area, has been a former representative of former Congress MLA Nadeem Javed. He is also a relative of Nadeem. It is alleged that on November 22, while going from home to Jaunpur, the accused had beaten Khurshid badly with an iron rod and thrown him in a drain. With the help of passersby, they were pulled out of the drain and the police was informed. He was referred to the district hospital in critical condition. Khurshid suffered 47 fractures in his arms and legs in the attack. At present the victim is undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Jaunpur. A few days ago, a case was registered against Nadeem Javed and his henchmen for assault and fatal attack on Khurshid Anwar Khan for writing against Nadeem on social media.
Had requested SP for security
After registering a case against Congress leader Nadeem Javed, Khurshid Anwar Khan had received threats from Lucknow and Dubai in the name of underworld don Abu Salem. The person who threatened had said to calm down by withdrawing the cases registered against Nadeem Javed otherwise even the dead body will not be found. After registering a case against the former MLA and his henchmen, after receiving threats in the name of the underworld, Khurshid again met SP Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma and requested for safety of life and property. Although the police had registered a case against unknown persons including Nadeem Javed, no concrete action could be taken.
A few days after filing a case against former Congress MLA Nadeem Javed twice, Khurshid was murdered by unknown assailants. In which the victim suffered 47 fractures in his arms and legs. However, the victim Khurshid has accused Nadeem Javed and his wife of sending goons to attack him. At present, Congress leader Nadeem Javed termed these allegations as baseless and called for a fair investigation.
Father had filed a complaint
After the incident, on the complaint of Khurshid Anwar’s father, the police registered a case against four-five unknown attackers and started investigating the entire matter. On the basis of electronic and manual evidence, the police have arrested two other people including Deepak Jaiswal, close to Nadeem Javed and an accused in the earlier case. Police have arrested Deepak Jaiswal, Ankit Maurya and Ankul Maurya from near Azad Canal Pulia in the case of fatal attack on Khurshid Anwar Khan with an iron rod and sent them to jail.
In this regard, Jaunpur Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma said that three accused have been arrested and challaned in the said case. No culprit will be spared. The victim is undergoing treatment in the hospital, proper security arrangements have been made there also.
