Chhattisgarh: ₹ 147.66 crore approved from Center for tourism development, Film City to be built in Raipur

Due to the efforts of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the state tourism board has achieved a major achievement from the central government. The Center has approved an amount of Rs 147.66 crore for two important tourism projects of the state under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25. Under this, construction of Chitrotpala Film City in Mana Toota Raipur at a cost of Rs 95.79 crore and construction of Tribal and Cultural Convention Center in Mana Toota Raipur at a cost of Rs 51.87 crore is included.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Vivek Acharya met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi on October 15, 2024 and gave information about the tourism activities of Chhattisgarh.

Film city will be constructed in Raipur

He said that under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment Scheme, proposals worth about Rs 300 crore were submitted for the Film City, Convention Centre, Wellness Resort and Nature City in the capital Raipur, in view of which the Center for the construction of Film City and Convention Center. Approval of Rs 147.66 crore has been received from the government.

He said that this concrete step of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has opened the doors of immense possibilities for film making and film tourism in Chhattisgarh through the construction of Film City, this success is an important step for the tourism development of Chhattisgarh and the state.
