Even without government subsidy, people will be able to buy Honda’s electric scooter cheaply, the company will make this record

Currently, if you go to buy an electric scooter in the country, the government gives subsidy on it. Earlier it was available with the name FAME, now it has been relaunched with the name PM E-Drive. But have you ever wondered what will happen if this subsidy ends? Honda 2-Wheelers has found the solution to this and the company says that its electric scooters Honda Activa e and Honda QC1 will remain in people’s budget despite not getting subsidy.

Honda has launched Activa E with a portable battery, whose battery can be easily changed at its battery swapping station. Whereas QC1 electric scooter has fixed battery. Because of this, it also gets 26 liters of under seat boot space. Both the scooters give a range of up to 102 km on a single charge.

E-scooters will remain in the budget even without subsidy

Yogesh Mathur, Sales and Marketing Director, Honda 2-Wheelers, says that if we look at the growth of the EV market in the last 5 years, it has been full of ups and downs in terms of government subsidies (Centre and State). Sometimes the government starts it, sometimes it stops it. Therefore, when we were developing Honda’s electric vehicles, they were developed without the expectation of getting government subsidy. Therefore, even if government subsidy is not received, their products will remain viable in the market.”

This statement of the company clearly indicates that the price of both its products will be such that they remain competitive in the market and can also fit in the budget of the people. So that even if the government ends the subsidy on electric vehicles, the sales of its products will not be affected. The company is yet to announce the price of both Activa e and QC1. Their booking will start from January 1, 2025 and delivery will start from February.
