Always the Chief Minister… Posters put up outside Devendra Fadnavis’ residence in Mumbai

Some posters and banners have been put up outside ‘Sagar’ bungalow, the official residence of Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. It is written in the poster that ‘Fadnavis should be declared the permanent Chief Minister of Maharashtra’. This banner has been put up by BJP workers. Fadnavis is also shown taking oath in the banner. They include a caption referring to a symbolic oath.

The caption reads, ‘I, Devendra Sarita Gangadharrao Fadnavis,’ alluding to his enduring role in the leadership of the state. Even before this, after Mahayuti’s victory on 232 seats in the election results, posters of Devendra Fadnavis being made the Chief Minister were seen at different places in the state. Devendra Fadnavis has also been shown as the Chief Minister in the posters put up in Washim city.

Now there is suspense on the name of CM

The results of Maharashtra Assembly elections were revealed on 23 November. Even after so many days, there is still no suspense over who will become the Chief Minister. Although Devendra Fadnavis can be made the Chief Minister, but due to the surprise policy of BJP, there is confusion in this too. Eknath Shinde is considered out of the race for Chief Ministership. Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has given information about this in a press conference.

He said that he has no greed for the post of CM and whatever decision PM Modi, Amit Shah and BJP take regarding it, he will accept it. While talking to the media, Eknath Shinde has made it clear that he will have no objection to BJP releasing the name of the Chief Minister. Shinde said that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have always stood with me for the development of every sector. This is the government of the common people. I did not consider myself a Chief Minister, I had worked as a worker for two and a half years.
