Shreyas Iyer has played two matches so far in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. The first was against Goa on 23rd November, just a day before the start of the IPL auction, in which he scored 130 runs in 57 balls with 10 sixes and 11 fours. And he played the second match against Maharashtra on 27 November while chasing the target of 172 runs in 20 overs, in which he scored 71 runs in just 39 balls with 3 sixes and 8 fours. Mumbai won both these matches due to the captaincy innings of Shreyas Iyer.
