Actress Divya Prabha is in the news these days for her film ‘All We Imagine As Light’. His film is getting a lot of love from both the public and critics. People have liked the film ‘All We Imagine as Light’ made under the direction of Payal Kapadia and Divya’s acting in the film is also being appreciated a lot. A video of Divya from this film was leaked after which she is in the news. Now recently Divya has broken her silence regarding this video. The actress was seen getting angry at those who leaked this video and questioned the mentality of the people doing so.

‘This is very pathetic’

While talking in an interview, Divya said- ‘This is very pathetic. However, even when I had signed up for the role, I was expecting such a reaction from a group of people in Kerala. We are a community that celebrates filmmakers like Yorgos Lanthimos and even actresses who won an Oscar for their work in the film. But these people do not tolerate us…that is, Malayali women playing such roles.

Question raised on mentality

Concluding her point, Divya further said that I was happy to see that there were people, especially men, who opposed this act. This shows that there is a lot of hope in the current generation. Those sharing the leaked video comprise 10% of the population and I do not understand their mentality. Malayalis were also part of the central board which approved us.

‘Was completely comfortable’

She further said that being an actor, I do such scripts with which I am comfortable and I was completely comfortable with my character in All We Imagine as Light. She further said that I don’t think I need to take off my clothes for fame. Some people criticized me and said that I have done such scenes for fame and I have also been a part of critically acclaimed films.
