Of course, many useful features have been provided in WhatsApp, but there are some features which can slow down the speed of the phone. WhatsApp keeps eating up the phone’s storage, due to which the phone starts slowing down when the storage gets filled.
WhatsApp Features
There is an option of Storage and Data in the settings of WhatsApp, with the help of this feature it is known that how much storage is the app using? Here you will see chat-wise which chat is consuming the most of your storage.
You can also delete the data by going to Storage and Data and opening individual chats. After deleting, you will notice that the storage will start getting freed up and the speed of the phone will also start improving.

Apart from this, there is also a feature in WhatsApp which keeps filling the phone’s storage and the name of this feature is Media Visibility. If this feature is on in your WhatsApp, then whatever you receive on WhatsApp will be saved in your phone’s gallery, if this happens then the phone’s storage will start filling up and the phone will become slow.

You can turn off this feature for individual and group chats. Open the individual chat and then go to View Contact by tapping on the three dots, here you will see the Media Visibility option. You can turn off this feature from here, you can follow the same process for group chat also.
