In Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh, a girl is waiting for the groom and the marriage procession with henna applied on her hands. But at the last moment, when the additional demand for dowry was not met, the groom did not reach the bride’s place with the wedding procession and ran away from his own house. Due to which there was panic from the girl’s side. When the girl’s father informed the girl’s in-laws when the marriage procession did not arrive till late night, he came to know that the groom was absconding from home. On which the girl’s father complained about this matter to the Superintendent of Police. The SP handed over the investigation of the case to Madhaugarh Kotwali police. So that action can be taken when the truth of the matter comes to light.
The matter is of Biriya village of Madhaugarh Kotwali area. Rajveer Katheria, a resident of the village, had fixed the marriage of his daughter Pooja with Vikas, son of Mata Prasad Katheria, a resident of village Ainko of Kuthound police station area. The marriage was to take place on 25th November at Shalini Guest House in Madhogarh and its preparations were also complete. Pooja was waiting for the wedding procession in the guest house with mehendi applied on her hands, but when the wedding procession did not arrive at the guest house till late night, the girl’s father Rajveer got worried, so he called the boy’s father Mata Prasad and got information.
The girl’s father complained to the police
The girl’s father called and asked where the wedding procession had reached. On hearing what the boy’s father Mata Prasad said, the girl’s father lost his senses. The groom’s father told the girl’s father that the groom Vikas had gone missing. There was panic on the girl’s side after hearing about the groom’s disappearance. Girl Pooja, angry with the wedding procession not coming, reached Kotwal Pappu Singh Yadav along with her father Rajveer Katheria. Kotwal spoke to the groom’s father Mata Prasad over phone. Mata Prasad told the Kotwal that a complaint about the groom’s disappearance has been lodged at Kuthod police station.
The girl and her family reached Superintendent of Police Dr. Durgesh Kumar on Tuesday after applying henna on their hands. He accused the girl’s family of demanding additional dowry.
This allegation was made against the boy’s family
The girl’s family alleges that the boy’s family was demanding additional dowry. When they were not given additional dowry, the groom’s family made the groom disappear. With whose complaint we have reached the Superintendent of Police. In this case, the Superintendent of Police has handed over the investigation to Inspector Pappu Singh, in-charge of Madhaugarh Kotwali. Who have asked for action to be taken by conducting an impartial investigation.
