Maruti Suzuki India Export Record: India’s most popular car Maruti Suzuki India is very much liked in foreign countries also. That is why the demand for export of its vehicles does not decrease. While the company started selling cars in India in 1983, its cars have been making waves in foreign markets since 1987. In a way, this company has truly completed Make In India and has now made this record in 37 years.

When Maruti Suzuki India exported cars from the country for the first time in 1987, a fleet of 500 cars was delivered simultaneously. This car had gone to the European country Hungary. From then till today, Maruti Suzuki’s Made in India cars are making waves in foreign markets.

Made a record of 30 lakh car exports

Maruti Suzuki India has exported a total of 30 lakh cars from India since 1987. The latest consignment sent by the company contains 1,053 cars. These include models like Celerio, FrontX, Jimny Baleno, Ciaz, Dezire and S-Presso. These cars were dispatched from Pipavav Port of Gujarat yesterday itself and with this the company has created a record of exporting 30 lakh cars.

If we look at the export history of the company, it had to work hard to create a record of exporting 500 to 10 lakh cars. The company made the record of exporting 1 million i.e. 10 lakh cars in April 2012. Then it took him 24 years and 8 months for this work.

Whereas by February 2021, after just 8 years and 10 months, the company exported 10 lakh more cars and the total export of cars reached 20 lakh. Whereas now till November 2024 i.e. in 3 years and 9 months, the company has been successful in exporting 10 cars. In this way, now it has exported a total of 30 lakh cars.

India’s strength in the world

Today, India’s Maruti Suzuki India is the largest subsidiary of Japan’s Suzuki Motors Company and produces the maximum number of cars. Not only this, it also shows the excellence in India’s automobile sector.

India is the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. Of all the passenger cars exported from India, 40 percent are from Maruti Suzuki India only.
