Baba Ramdev’s company has earned bumper profits. The company earned about Rs 9,335 crore in the last 3 months, which includes earnings from OFS of Patanjali Foods as well as income from other units.
The total income of Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Ayurved has increased by 23.15 percent to Rs 9,335.32 crore in the last financial year. This includes income from the offer for sale (OFS) of Patanjali Foods (formerly Ruchi Soya) and other units of the group, it said in the information given to the Registrar of Companies. According to Tofler’s report, in the financial year 2023-24, there has been a significant increase in the income of Patanjali Ayurved apart from Patanjali Foods. Which was Rs 46.18 crore last year, has increased to Rs 2,875.29 crore.
There was a loss last year
Baba Ramdev’s company had to suffer huge losses in the last financial year. Due to Patanjali Ayurved transferring its food business to Patanjali Foods on July 1, 2022, its revenue declined by 14.25 percent to Rs 6,460.03 crore. Patanjali’s food business includes biscuits, ghee, cereals and nutraceuticals.
Profit increased in 2023-24
After the decline in the company’s revenue, its income increased again in the same year. The income of Patanjali Ayurveda in the financial year 2022-23 was Rs 7,533.88 crore and the total profit was Rs 578.44 crore. Its total profit increased five times to Rs 2,901.10 crore in the financial year 2023-24. The total income (including other income) of unlisted entity Patanjali Ayurved was Rs 7,580.06 crore in FY 2022-23.
