Bihar government has intensified action against sand mafia. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha claimed that the sand ghats were inspected by helicopter and on the basis of that a surgical strike has been conducted against the illegal sand traders. Under this, 3000 trucks of sand i.e. 15 lakh CFT sand has been seized from Doriganj, Chhapra. This action is still going on. In this action, 4 trucks, 6 tractors and one JCB have been seized. At the same time, some people have also been caught.
In a press conference held at the BJP state office in Patna, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, who is handling the mining department, said that the government has announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for the person who catches the truck and Rs 5,000 for the person who catches the tractor. Soon about three to four dozen such warriors of Bihar will be rewarded directly and indirectly.
Overloading incidents reduced
Deputy Chief Minister Sinha has warned that if illegal mining continues, strict action will be taken against the guilty officials and police. The objective of the government is to stop revenue theft and regularize mining. He said that the government is moving forward with zero tolerance policy. The Deputy Chief Minister stressed that there has been a 90 percent reduction in overloading in Bihar. The truck is benefiting from this. At the same time, the age of roads is also increasing.
Sale of sand will start online
He further said in clear words that whatever sand has been seized will be sold as per the requirement of the people. Soon the system of online sale of sand will be implemented. He said that overloading of sand will not be allowed. Balu Mitra will start soon. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha said that illegal businessmen have been identified from many districts including Bhojpur and Patna. They have not improved even after giving them several chances.
Property will be confiscated if you help
The department will take strict action against illegal traders. At the same time, any officer who tries to harm the government’s revenue by collaborating with the mafia will also not be spared. All such people are being identified. Strict action will be taken against police officers and station in-charges involved in sand mining. If the station in-charge of the police station under which illegal sand mining will take place is found supporting it, his property will also be confiscated. For this, CCTV cameras will also be installed in all the police stations. Also, the police have been directed to stop illegal recovery from vehicles.
