Mahakumbh will start in Prayagraj after 12 years on 13 January 2025, on the day of Paush Purnima. In such a situation, many types of training are being given to the policemen deployed in Mahakumbh, the largest public gathering of faith in the world. Keeping an eye on the food habits of these police personnel and their behavior with the devotees, they are being given regular training at the parade ground.
Full care is being taken of the sentiments of the devotees coming to the Kumbh Mela. According to training program in-charge Atul Singh, a 21-day training module has been developed for the devotees. Under this module, batches of 700 policemen are being trained.
Training to stay away from alcohol and non-vegetarian food
According to information received from training program in-charge Atul Singh, training of 1,500 policemen has been completed so far. A target has been set to train a total of 40 thousand police personnel. SSP Kumbh Rajesh Dwivedi says that policemen are being motivated to work as ‘servants of faith’ in Mahakumbh. Along with maintaining security, the police will focus on creating a welcoming environment for the pilgrims. The food in the police mess is becoming completely vegetarian. All employees have been instructed to work while respecting the faith of the devotees. Besides, instructions have also been given to maintain distance from alcohol.
Do duty as a police friend
Along with the security arrangements in the fair, special attention is also being paid to the behavior of the policemen deployed. Police personnel are being trained on the module of etiquette and good behaviour. Policemen are also taking this training seriously. Mahoba head constable Vinod Kumar Singh says that we are being told that we have come here not to do police duty but to serve and in the spirit of this service, we have to behave friendly with every policeman who reaches the Kumbh area. . Head constable Shivbaran, who came from Aligarh, says that for us, doing duty here will be like the imagination of the devotees and we all are excited about it, because along with doing duty here, we are also earning virtue.
